LSB's mandate is to oversee the administration of legal aid in the territory. The organization is responsible for policy development, strategic visioning, and financial management of the legal aid plan.
- The nominee will be an active regular member and preferably resident in the territory,
- The position is a three-year appointment.
- The position requires attendance at up to four meetings a year (in-person unless otherwise agreed to or special circumstances) and regular input on ongoing issues.
- Conflict considerations will also be relevant.
The ideal nominee will have the following skills and experience:
- Familiarity with the territory and regions.
- Familiarity and understanding of IQ principles.
- Experience with board governance.
- Familiarity with LSB as an organization (preferably experience having worked for/with LSB).
The ideal nominee will have the following qualities:
Collegiality, discretion and able to demonstrate a connection and passion for the work done by LSB.
