The LSN Executive Committee in collaboration with the Legal Ethics and Practice Committee (LEPC) will be launching a consultation seeking comments from any and all of our Members in respect of a nation-wide Federation of Law Societies of Canada consultation on draft amendments to the Model Code in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action 27.
Members of the Executive and of the LEPC hope to welcome you to participate in this consultation about how to better incorporate Inuit Societal Values and foster reconciliation in the legal profession.
- This consultation will commence in September with an opportunity to first join a virtual presentation (various dates and times) followed by in-person sessions to facilitate obtaining feedback from our membership.
- Members will have the opportunity to share feedback virtually or by phone if they are unable to attend the in-person sessions.
